As the MHS Counseling Office receives information about specific scholarships via mail or email, they will be posted here. This list will be updated throughout the school year. 

Information on this page is for guidance – please confirm ALL deadlines and requirements for scholarships through the scholarship link.

Students should inform the Counseling Office of ANY scholarship offers they receive.

 

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS – Deadline: Mid-March
Application forms will be distributed to seniors mid-February during their economics or government class periods.

Scholarships by Deadlines Listing - Some of these are for high school students; some are for currently enrolled college students. Keep applying for scholarships to help pay for college expenses.

  • Did you know that most schools in our area offer a Tuition Guarantee Program?  Texas OnCourse has a great resource to help!


     
  • The Hazelwood Act – This State of Texas benefit provides qualified veterans, spouses, and dependent children with an education benefit of up to 150 hours of tuition exemptions at Texas public colleges or universities (not private or out of state). This exemption does not include living expenses, books, or supply fees. Eligibility and application information available on website.
